Synopsis

A solo show about questioning identity: What does it mean to be a Newfoundlander in Ontario? A girl transforming into a woman? A performer with extreme anxiety? A person who desperately wants to tell their story but isn’t sure they can? Live artmaking combines with solo storytelling to deliver a funny, emotionally powerful show.

Development History

First developed for the PlayGround Festival, York University, 1998, featuring Sara Tilley, directed by Kyle Brough. Remounted by the Shakespeare by the Sea Festival, St. John’s, 1998, direction by Kyle Brough, featuring Sara Tilley. Workshopped by RCA Theatre in 1999, with dramaturge Jill Keiley and actor Robert Chafe.
