Marshall Button is an actor, director and playwright residing in Moncton, New Brunswick where he occupies the post of Artist-in-Residence at Moncton’s Capitol Theatre. He has spent much of the past three decades touring the country with his solo shows Lucien (1986), Lucien’s Labour Lost (1993), Lucien Snowbird (2003), and Helter Smelter (2007). His theatre experience also includes work as a translator, Dramaturge and workshop leader. Marshall has toured his plays to every province of Canada, The U.S., U.E.A., Afghanistan and France. Among his many awards are an Honourary Doctorate from St. Thomas University and The Order of New Brunswick. He can be frequently heard on CBC radio Moncton with his Marshall Arts Report and several satirical political commentaries.
