A solo clown show in which Princess Nosebleed, incarcerated for Crimes of Impropriety not suitable for princesses, awaits rescue by the dashing and dangerous Prince Romeo Charming, from Hull, Quebec. This show deals with serious themes of mental illness, racism, sexual politics, eating disorders, and self-esteem in a completely hilarious, irreverent and engaging way.
Devised through character improvisation based in Pochinko Clown Through Mask technique. This project was originally funded by the Canada Council for the Arts and the original creation period included a two-week intensive with Clown Through Mask teacher Sue Morrison. The script was revisited and reworked in 2004. It was further revisited and shortened for the Magnetic North Theatre Festival in 2006. There are now 2 versions of the script: a 30 minute and a 75 minute version.
Directed by Pat Dempsey, produced by She Said Yes!, 2002 and 2004, the Masonic Temple, St. John's, featuring Sara Tilley and Pat Dempsey. Remounted for the 2006 Magnetic North Theatre Festival as a special 1/2 hour version, featuring Sara Tilley and Craig Francis Power.
